CREATE MRE

Collaborative REAnalysis Technical Environment - Multiple Reanalysis Ensemble (CREATE-MRE)

The Collaborative REAnalysis Technical Environment - Multiple Reanalysis Ensemble (CREATE-MRE) is an ensemble of the major modern reanalyses.

There are three versions: CREATE-MRE was created in November 2017, CREATE-MRE2 in July 2018, and CREATE-MRE3 in August 2019. Each reanalysis was regridded from the source and has common pressure levels, the differences between the versions are shown in the tables on this page. More project information is available in the American Meteorological Society paper on Using the Collaborative Reanalysis Technical Environment (CREATE).

The CREATE-MRE ensembles (mean and standard deviation) are available through ESGF's CREATE, select Advanced Data Search and product MREreanalysis, MRE2reanalysis, or MRE3reanalysis.
