create-ip Governance Overview

CREATE-IP was guided by a working advisory committee of leaders of the international reanalysis efforts. The committee had representatives from NASA/GSFC GMAO, NOAA/NCEP, NOAA/ESRL, ECMWF and JMA. Each member was an expert in reanalysis. The committee provided advice on such issues as standardization of CREATE-IP, approval of new data sets, and documentation.

The Ocean Reanalyses Intercomparison Project (ORA-IP) was coordinated by the Global Synthesis and Observations Panel (GSOP), part of Climate and Ocean: Variability, Predictability and Change (CLIVAR), one of the four core projects of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP).
